There waa a good volume of business done in the Saleyards on Tuesday. At the Northern Central Yards of Mr W. Buss there was an entry of 3700 sheep, which sold—Eat sheep at 9s to 10a 6d, fat crossbred ewes at 5a 7d to 7s 6d, fat merino ewes at 39 to 59, wethers at 4s 6d to 7a, crossbred turnipers (ewes) at 6s to 6a Bd, (wethers) at 7s 8d to 7s 9d; crossbred breeding ewes at 4s 6d to 5a 6d, lambs at 3a 6d to 5s 6d. Cattle — head, beef at 20a per 1001b, cow beef at 10a to 17b 6d, springers at £5 to £8, two-year-olda at £2 10s to £2 15s, yearlinga at 30a to 35a, calves at 14s to 18s. Pigs 190, baconers at 34a to 42a 6d, porkers at 15s to 255, small do at 12a to 18s, good stores at 10s to 12a, small do at 4a to 63, inferior at 2a.

Potatoes—Fair demand, 20a to 22a 6d, at country stations.

Butter—Fair demand, prime fresh 7d to Bd.

Yesterday at the Tinwald yards there was a small entry, and only a moderate attendance. There were about 5500 sheep all young, 18 bead of cattle, and 24 pigs. Fat crossbred ewes 5s to Bt, turnip sheep up to 93, crossbred ewes in lamb up to 8a Id, crossbred lambs 5s to 7s Id, fat steers and heifers £6 103, £5 17a 6d, fat cows £5, dairy cows £4, stores £110s, pigs, baconers, 32s 6d, 30s 6d, forward stores 18a, 11s 6d.
