The Postmaster-General has received a cablegram from the Vancouver agents of the Canadian mail steamers asking if he will allow the Warrimoo to call at Auckland on her return trip, to land the Hon. J. G. Ward. This is believed to be the thin edge of the wedge for getting the Canadian line of steamers to call regularly at New Zealand. VICTORIAN RAILWAYS. Melbourne, May 21.
