CHARGE OF MURDER.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.)
INVEROARGILL, May 9.
At Winton to-day Minnie Dean, wife of Charles Dean, was arrested on a charge of having, on or about the 3rd inst., murdered an infant named Eva Hor_3by. She was brought before the Justices aad remanded till the 16th inst., to appear ab Milton, Otago. Her arrest was made by Detectives McGrath (Dunedin) and Herbert. The accused has for several years made a business of keeping infants, and was once before the Court on a charge of neglecting several children under her care, but was then acquitted. The police are reticent as to the details of the present charge, bub ib is understood that the infant was about a month old.
