Mr Cobb, of Palmeraton,. only sold one for CJge out of a large dumber oa the ground. English Leicea*era!!were cob more enquired after, only one of Mr Threlkeld'e being quitted at2£gs.. For Border Leicestera there wa« no competition at all, and 100 LeicesterLincoln first-cross rams did not bring a bid. Mr Beid of Oamaru, Mr Holmes (Awamoa), and Mr Sdttoo of Southland, were the ouly breeders whose, sheep attracted much competition, their at u<l Lincoln* l» Kigali quitted a& fair to good'prices. Prices ruled lower, but owners were prepared to - meet buyer*, and the result was brisk business, at low prices how* ever. Mr F. Button'e averaging £3 12s 3d, Mr W. Wilson's £3 4s Id, Mrs Watt's £2 6s BJ. The bulk of other breeders were sold at from £g to l£gs. Over 1200 rams were sold during the two days.. Romneys were not wanted and brought poor prices.
