•TO THE EDITOR Of THE PKESS. Sm.- -In my former letter I challenged VW.B." to.bring forward proofs for his assertion—or supposition rather—that the wine created at the marriage feast at Cana of Galilee, and also that used hg our Lord, as recorded in Matt, zxvi, xxvii, xxviii, was of an intoxicating nature,' i.e., fermented . iri_o. 'His only reply is a reference to a number of modern lexicographers for their definition of the word ** wine," md having done so claims the honour of having proved his point. . To deal at length with such a logician as "■•W.B." would bo about as profitable as beating the air. 1 have not the time to ■pare, nor have I the impudence to ask for •pace iv your valuable columns, for suoh a .purpose. Thanking you for the space already aflorded,—Yours, && J.L.P.
