The schooner Clio, Captain Moore, returned to Port yesterday afceruoon. She left Lyttelton for Timaru on Sunday week with a cargo of corneacks, and met the fall force of the recent southerly gale. She was blown away to the north of Bauks' Peninsula, and only made Lyttelton harbour yesterday. A Press Association telegram from the Bluff states that on the 3rd iusb. the Talune passed the ship Cromdale, of Aberdeen, at 8.45 a.m. inlat. 45.32 S., long. 159.48 E., or 370 miles west of the Bluff. She wished to bereported "All well" At 5.30 p.m. the same day the Talune passed the barque Killarney 270 miles west of the Bluff. She also wished to be reported " All well."
