Following so close upon the Wellington Racing Cluo's two days' summer re-union, the meeting of the Heretaunga Hack Racing Club, which took place on Saturday last, was probably not co well attended by the public as might otherwise have been expected, but nevertheless there was an average turn out for an off day, and fairly good racing. The starting was done with Crawford's machiue in a majority of cades, and was most successful, and the management altogether was good. Tbe aum of £39052 was put through the totalisator during the day. Results :— Trial Handicap, of 20 soys; second 5 soys from stakes. One mile and a furlong. 176. Mr A.
