JUNIOR CUP MATCHES.

The contest between Lancaster Park and the Midland was brought to a conclusion on the ground of the former, the horn* team gaining an unexpected win by eight-wickets.- At the etarb of the play the Midland, who were 8 rune ahead on the first innings, had lost three wickets in their •econd venture for 56, and continuing, they wereall disposed of for 118. C. W. tiarrard contributed 18, Barnes 17, and D. Reese 11 not out. Smith bowled very well, taking eeven wickets, and the fielding was good all mind. The Park required 127 runs to Win, and Pavitt and Shaw made such a good etart that 114 were scored before the Tatter was bowled for 33. Ronalds, the next man, was run out after making 3, but F. GV Raphael and Pavitt soon knocked off the remaining runs, winning the match for their >side as. above stated. Pavitt hit very freely in compiling his 77 not out, and although he made a few uppish bite, he gave- no direct chance. The Midland Bowling did' not appear at all difficult to play and the fielding-was fair. The match between the United and Warehousemen was • won easily by the former by an innings. The match St. Albans v Addington was finished on Saturday, the former team winning after a most exciting finish by one "wicket.
