GRAIN AND PRODUCE.
The past week has *een a most fortunate break in the weather, which has been for the last day or two of a most favourable character, and has permitted good progress ,to be made with the seed harvest. A considerable breadth of oaf* has been cut, and, where practicable, farmers are threshing ont of the stook. So far there has not been much barley harvested, and in some districts we regret to learn that rust has made its appearance, but not to any great extent. Ryegrass has been offering freely, and as there are many .anxious buyers in the market, growers have no difficulty in placing seed of anything like decent quality. On the other hand, weathered parcels are hanging fife. Farmers on the Peninsula are still busy harvesting their cocksfoot.
