AMUSEMENTS.
THE OPEBA. "Ma Mie' Rosette " waa played for the last time last night at the Theatre Royal, when there was an excellent house. The opera went very well indeed. Miss Stewart received an enthusiastic encore for the introduced song "I've been dreaming, , ' and the same compliment was paid to Misa" Nash and Mr Lauri. Considerable annoyance waa caused to those present by the sounds of a brass band on the opposite side of the street. To-night, "Paul Jones," the book .of whioh is written by H. B. Farnitf and the music composed by Planquette, will be given. The opera deals with events in the career .of the well-known pirate Paul Jones, which are treated in orthodox opera bouffo style. The music v spoken of as bright and sparkling, and the opera itself full of fun and go, -.
