SENIOR CUP MATCHES.
The fourth rouud of senior cup matches was brought to a conclusion early on Saturday, when the Midland beat the United, aud after the game was finished the victors proceeded to Lancaster Park to commence their return game with the Lancastrians, the United meetiag the Warehousemen at Hagley Park. The following shows the positions of the Cluba at the end of the first round :—
The following are details of Saturday's matches:— MIDLAND V UNITED. Tbe match between these teams was brought to a conclusion at Hagley Park on baturaay, when the Midlandera won by 13 rune. When play started the United wanted 37 runs to win, and they had four wickets in hand, W. J. Cotterill and Fish being not out with 28 and 0 respectively, and the total was 68. Fish was stumped before a run had been added, and the score was only 71 when Cotterill was stumped. Longden and Frankieh made a ahorc stand, but the latter woe out with the aoore at 82, and nine runs later Pearce brought the innings to a cloae by bowling Longden.
