SWIMMING.

LANCASTER PARK. The newly constructed bath at Lancaster Park was opened ou Saturday afternoon under favourable conditions and in the presence of nearly 500 spectators, including a good attendance of ladies. The weather was most suitable. The bath, with its surroundings, was much admired, and promises to be well patronised in its season. Fancy Swimming—Professor Pannell gave an exhibition of fancy swimming, in the course of which he wenb through fifteen different styles, and was warmly applauded at the conclusion. Dr. Moorhouse essayed within ten minutes to land a man fish by means of an ordinary trout rod and line. Twice the gear came adrift from the "fish," who obligingly allowed himself to beretied.
