A SAD DEATH.

Mr;\V. B. AUwright, late Postmaster -at Lyttelion, methiadetth by hie own band on Jan. 6th at his residence, the, corner of Barbadoes and Lichfield streets. According to theinformation'a'vailable, it appears that Mrs Allwright and- Mrs Lodge left home to catch the 7 p.m.-tram for P&paniii, Miss Allwright went to. church and Mies .Lodge stayed at home with Mr Allwright, whom she iniesed about half-past seven. In looking . the out-premises ehe met Miss Allwright returning,, and the two young ladies renewed the search. Upon approaching . the coalshed they noticed blood - near the door, which they attempted to open, but failed. They obtained the assistance of some passers-by; who forced the door and found the body of Mr Allwright lying on the floor, which was covered with blood. The deceased-was in his shirt, vest and trousers, and had his throat almost severed, apparently with a table knife, which was discovered in the abed. Bn Hacon was called in immediately, but his services could be of no avail, as de«th had already occurred. The body was taken into the house The sad occur, rence caused, a sensation in the neighbourhood, and great, .sympathy was .shown for Mrs Allwright and her. daughter in their bereavement...
