London, January 16. It is rumoured that Sir Henry Blake, Governor of Jamaica, bucceeds Lord Kintore aa Governor of South Australia.
Lord Brassey is at present visiting Glasgow. He proposes to sail for Melbourne in his famous yacht Sunbeam in April.
The St. James's Gazette suggests that Lord Brassey aspired to the control of the Admiralty, and is being sent to Victoria to avoid his voting against the Government.
The Pall Mall Gazette thinks Lord Brassey's special knowledge on the questions of federation and Imperial defence will be of benefit to all Australia.
