AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.

THIBD DAY. (FROM OUR CORRKSPOSDEST.) AUCKLAND. JanuaryThe Auckland Racing Club's Summer Meeting was brought to a conclusion today, in tbe presence of a large assembly. Bombadier and Magpie started favourites but the firstnamed shot his rider out of the saddle when half the distauce had been covered. Booties came to grief about half-a-mile from home. Tbe finish lay between Roscius, the. early favourite for the race, and Magpie, but tha Hawke's Bay horse carried too many guns for his opponent, and won by two or three lengths. Ballyhooly was the only one to finish besides the placed hordes. Great interest was created in the Newmarket Handicap. St. Clements was made a slightly better favourite than The Workman, but Major George's horse won easily by three lengths. The Dancer, with a penalty, had lOit to carry, and finished fourth.
