[Br Tsl-QRaph.] . [from our correspondent.] \ REEFTON. December 31. The mines.have been idle during the holidays, and no returns are to band. Quotations are unchanged, with tbe exception of Big River, the shares in this Company showing a slight rise. The Big River half-yearly meeting was held on the 28th of December. The old officers were re-elected, the report was most satisfactory, and a dividend of 9d was declared. This: .mine will pay regular dividends for the future. The Minerva dean np resulted in 115o_ of retorted gold, being tbe beat return from the mine since it was opened. Morris and Co., Al Tributory, gob 107oz of retorted gold from 16 tons of quartz. The Buffer dredge is in lull swing, and good returns are expected this week. . The much-needed rain has set in to-day. ■'"
