The arrival at London on Tuesday lost of the, barque Antares leaves not a single sailins vessel homeward bound from Lyttelton. The Union Steamship Company's steamer Taieri arrived from Newcastle, via Wellington, with a fnll cargo of coal and timber.

The Union Shipping Company's s.s. ' I Talune; Captain E. Phillips, arrived at the wharf at- 7a.m. yesterday. Her dates of j I departure are as follows;— Left Sydney at 6.30 p.m. on the 23rd and cleared the Heads at 7 p.m. the same day; arrived off the Spit at 11 a.m. on the 27ib, Steven's Island at 1 p.m., and arrived at Wellington at 10 p.m. on the same day ; left again at 4 p.m. on the 28th and arrived as above. Experienced variable winds and seas throughout the trip. According to the New Zealand Times it is stated chat Captain T.iomas Logan will have command of Messrs Huddart, Parker aud Co.'s new steamer Anglian,.which is to r un in the New Zealand-Australian trade.
