(feom a corbespoudbxt.) THAM ES, November 2a A man named Woodward attempted •oicide to-d. y by shooting himself. The ■hot juet grazed his heart, and thongh he still lives, no hopes are entertained of his recovery. ,He has been in failing health lately, and this preyed upon his mind, in addition to the fact that he has been out of work for some time; whilst some shares in the AuetraJiau Bank recently wilted to him nave depreciated very much in value. Woodward held the position of librarian were for many years.
