N.Z. SWIMMING ASSOCIATION.
At a special general meeting of the New fcealfind Swimming Association, held yesterday at Auckland, the Lyttelton Amateur Swimming Clnb was elected to member* ship. The question of prize values for championships was considered, And they were -fixed at £4 each for the 100 yards, JMO yards, quarter-mile, haif-m;le, one mile, tad water polo events. For the distance dive and plnnge £2. With the exception of email events, all the championships were allotted to Christchureh, as applied for, namely—llo yards, Cbristchurch Amateur Swimming Club; 200 yards. East Chrietchurch j quarter-mile, Aehburton Club ; half-mile championship, dire and plunge, Richmond Club ; water polo, Sydenham, Regarding the championships, a resolution was carried that they were to be held during February or March next, and within a period Dot extending beyond Friday in one week, or Saturday in the next.
