The Officials' Race at the Napier Grammar School Sports last week proved rather an amusing one, each of the competitors having to carry a schoolboy. N. ,L. Gurr, the well-known athlete, managed to secure the smallest boy In the school, and he won on the post from P. O. Freeth, with Gray chird. The Te Awamutu Amateur Athletic Club held their inaugural sports meeting on the Tβ Awamutu racecourse, on the Prince of Wales' Birthday when the gathering proved most successful.
