Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright , Paris, November 27. After au augry discussion iu the Chamber of Deputies the vote for the Madagascar expedition was passed by a three fourths majority. Tne Chainbar, by a majority of 239, rejected the proposal of the .Socialist members to consult the nation by iueaus of a referendum before comiug to a decision upon tbe Madagascar question.
Owing to the insults levelled at him
during tbe debate, M. Poiucare has challenged M. Rouauet, a Socialist.
