The Legislative Council in the morning passed a number of Bills, and appointed managers to confer on the amendment? made by the House in the Shipping anil Seamen's Act Amendment Bill. In tbe afternoon one Native Land Bill was passer? 1 and another killed, and the managers reported that they had come to an agreetneut on the questions at issue in the Shipping and Seamen's Bill. In the evening the final stages of all the Bills left were passed, and the Council rose at twenty-five minutes to 12 o'clock. In tbe House of Representatives, after the Telegraph Office closed, the Supplementary Estimates passed, and the House rose at 2.30 a.m. In the forenoon, the Horowhenua Land Bill was read a second time and the Police Offences Act Amendment Bill (referring to traction engines) waa read a first time. In the afternoon, a couple oi Native Land Bills were passed, the Folic* Offences Act Amendment Bill was passed, a message waa received from the Counoil that a compromise had been made on the Shipping aud Seamen's Act Amendment Bill, the Public Works Appropriation Bill was passed, and on.the motion for the second reading of the Appropriation Bill, Captain Russell mads a strong attack upon the policy pursued by the Government. Id tho evening, Mr Reeves replied to Captain Russell, and other members spoke at length, the Bill was read a second time and passed, the Horowhenua Block Bill was discharged, and at twenty-five minutes to twelve the House adjourned till noon next day. ,
