ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A man named John Strew, who was in tbe employ of Mr John Holmes at Methven, was ad_acted to the Christchurch Hospital last evening suffering from a compound fracture of the left leg caused by a kick from a horse. (PRESS _3SO-lATION TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, October 23. Mr Hector Stuart, aged 62 years, manager of tbe St. Bathan's Company's claim, was killed yesterday by a fall of earth.
