WAIMAKARIRI HARBOUR BOARD.
The monthly meeting was held on Monday evening, in the Kuapoi Municipal Chamber. Present—Messrs Feldwick .{Chairman pro tern.), Hopkins, Hiatt, Parnham, Mathews, Lissaman. Letters were read—From Christchurch City Council, Lyttelton Harbour Board, and Government Insurance Department relative to the Board's debentures of £450 for eight years jat 6 per cent., but no definite result was obtained. The sum of £150 had been;' ottered locally for three coupons of _?_Q &eh. The signalman reported ou the slate ofthe river, and complained of willows drifting in the currents. ' The' inw-ida tonnage was 215, outwards 128. The Finance Committee reported balance in hand, £31 Ha lid; receipts, £36 Bs. Accounts, £19 18s 9d were passed, also a bonus of £5 to Secretary for extra work connected with recent, lawsuit. A claim of £3 3. for valuation of reserves for loan was allowed to stand over for explanation. It was decided to have the ieases complied with in regard to painting and insurance conditions, also to remove some of the _Ut so, far as £2 would the frbn. of Mr J. Sims' wharf. The Board then adjourned.
