PARISH MEETING.

ST. ANDREW'S, LITTLE RIVER-

The annual meeting of the parishioners of St. Andrew's Church, Little River, was held on Tuesday eveniug, April 24th. The Rev. H. T. Purchas presided. The Chairman referred to the many improvements effected in connection with 'the church and parish during the past year,'and thanked tho parishioners for the many acts of kindness shown to Mrs Purchas and himself. The balance-sheet showed the total receipts to have been £159 Os 3d, expenditure £143 18s 6d, balance iv hand £15 Is 9J. On the motion of Mr John Reynolds, seconded by Mr A. J. Joblin, the report and balanceeheei were unanimously adopted. Messrs Kay and Reynolds reported that the work of enlarging the chnrch was completed. A cordial Vote of thanks was passed to the contractor, Mr A. Johnson, for the very satisfactory manner ia which he has carried out the work, also to Messrs Kay and Reynolds for their supervision of the work. An honorarium of seven guineas was voted to Mr H. E. Tyson for services rendered in connection with the church. Hearty votes of thanks were awarded to all who contributed to and assisted at the church bazaar, also to the churchwardens, vestry, choir, organist and Sunday school teachers. The Incumbent nominated Mr H. E. Tyson as his churchwarden, and Mr Kay was elected parishioners' churchwarden. The following were elected a vestry« —Messrs. E. Benn, H. White, J. Reynolds, J. Coop, W. B, Montgomery, H. Smith, A. J. Joblin, S. Harris, W. Owens, and John Wright. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman.
