CHEVIOT SHEEP SALE.
Messrs Robinson, Arciieisand Calcott opened the Cheviot sheep sale yesterday with an entry of 60,000 sheep and a number of cattle and horses. The bidding was very dull, and only 10,000 or 11,000 sheep were sold. Sound-mouth Cheviot merino ewea fetched 3a 6d to 4s lid. There waa a large attendance, the weather was fine, and the sheep were in fair order. A few cattle and horses were sold.
