MR M'KENZIE ON THE WEST COAST.
*■ (PRESS ASSOCIATION T~LEGRA_U) GREYMQUTH, March 9. A banquet was tendered to the Hon. J. McKenzie to-night by tbe local bodies and citizens. ; There was nothing of political moment in the Ministers speech. He spoke favourably oi the future of the Co_st, as it contained a great deal of land well adapted for settlement. It might not grow wheat crops, but it would do Well in pasture, and it would be hi 3 aim to do all in his power to place people on the land. Over seventy persons sat down to dinner. It was a most harmonious fcffair.
