THE RIFLE CHAMPION.
There was a large turn out of Volunteers and the public at Dunedin last night to welcome Captain E. R. Smith, the rifle champion, and others who were prominent in tho prize firing. After the cheering and band playing was over an adjournment was made to the Garrison Hall, the City Guards escorting their captaiu. Lieutenant-Coloueh Webb and Wales warmly congratulated the champion and Lieutenant Jack.
