The Registrar reported that the result of the Entrance Scholarships at the Girls' High School — For two years — Emily Wright, East Christchurch;" Helen Kent, East Chriatohur-h j Mabel Garratt, West Christohuroh; Florence Pearson, Sydenham. One yearMary Hardy, Wool-ton; Edith Wilson, Waltham; Ethel Waiichop, East Ohrist* church; Mary Turnbul, West Christchurch. The Governors'exhibitions were awarded « under :—Margaret Olliver, Myra RairtOn, Emma Cull, Elsie Sinclair. Tho Governors' exhibitions at the' Boys' High School hod been awarded as under: —Charles Weir. Frederick Freeman, Alfred Baker, C. F. Pratt, H. Tubmac, L. Thomp. son, K. Pavitt. The following had taken the Free Studontship in coonec* tion with the School of Art offered to each ot the head boys in the different State schools: — West Christchurch,. W. «fr Guntrip; Woolston, 0. J. Gar ton; Richmond, C. K. Whale; Papahui, R. w. Morgan; Sydenham, R. B. Maddwa; Normal School, W. Coombridge j East Christ-hurcli, L. Booth; St. Albans, A, t-_ Brigga and T. W.Owen. The Chairman said that at the next monthly meeting of the Board there WWM be elections for the vacancies on the Rlf.» School Boards of. Rangiora aud Wsltmte. , The newly appointed Professor of Bio* logy, Dr. Dendy, had arrived in the oolony, and had reported himself on the 6th February.
