The following are the handicaps of the -Fifty Yards Race to be swam in connection with the East Christchurch Amateur Swimming Club at their baths, Gloucester street, on' Saturday afternoon next, at 2.30 p.m. : —First heat —H. Bullivant, S. L. Partridge scr; C. C. Meicier 2sec ; A. Duncan 2sec. Second heat—X. A. Roper, scr ; H. Dunnage, 3sec; S. C. Baron, 4aee; H. G. Stringer, sse& Third heat —S. G. Norton, 3sec; H. Hiorns, 4sec; F. W. Johnston, R. N. Duncan, 6aec Fourth heat—A. Truscott, S. Longuet, T. Orr, S. C. Wathew, 6sec. Fifth heat—Stewart, 7sec, G. King, W. Carl, &sec ; E. East, 93ec Sixth heat—L. Longuet, P. Hill, iiiazey, Bsec"; J. Wathew, lOsec. Seventh heat — Cunningham, 9aec; Boot, Usee; C. Calvert, H. E. East, 12sec. Eighth heat— Hinge, Donaldson, A. Wright, 0. Harrison, Usee. Ninth heat—W. Lightband, 9sec; Liddell, Penticost, 12sec. Tenth heat—R. Burke, R. O. Duncan, McLennau, Ho3sack, I33ec The heats are subject to re-arrange-raeut. The first aud second in each heat will swim in the semi-final heals. The first only iv final heat. The handicaps will be readjusted for the cemi-final and final heats if deemed necessary.
