The s.s. Tarawera arrived yesterday afternoon from Wellington and saila for that port and Sydney to-day. / The s.s. Takapuna arrived from Onehunga, via Taranaki and Wellington, yesterday morning and returned again in the evening. The steamers Orowaiti and Wareatea sailed yesterday afternoon for Greymouth and Weatpoit respectively. ' The Shaw, Savitl and Albion Company's ship Hermioue was floated oat of dock yesterday, after being thoroughly cleaned and painted, and'was moored at the Gladetone pier; where she continues her loading of wool for London. '

The sailing of the Union Company's cargo steamer Maori for Timaru was postponed from yesterday till to-day.
