Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations :— WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 29. For Australian Colonies, except New South Wales and Queensland, per express, to connect with Waihora at Port Chalmers, at 10.30 a.m. ; late fee letters, 10.40 a.m.; guard's van on express, 11 a.m. train. For South America, tho United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, specially addressed per Coptic only, and Northern Ports, per Flora, ab 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; parcels post parcels, 2.30 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Duel London, January 10th. I For the United Kingdom and Continents j of Europe and America and West Indies (via San Francisco), Sandwich Islands, &c, and j also for Northern porta of New Zealand, j per Takapuna, as follows : — Ordinary letters, 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m.; books and newspapers, 7.30 p.m.; money orders, 4 p.m. ; registered letters, 5 p.m.; guard's van, 9.5 p.m.train. Duo London January 3rd. THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30. For Northern Ports and Australian colonies, per Wakatipu, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m. ; guard's van, 5.30 p.m. train. Note—lt has now been decided that notes of any kind, printed or otherwise, on account or invoice forms, beyond the simple account, cannot pass at commercial paper rates, and accounts with such remarks must bear letter rates of postage.
