DESPERATE FIGHT WITH NATIVES.
ran assoatetion—Jtlectrte Tsiempn—Ccpyrtehl. Perth (W.A ), September 28. A party of natives at Wyndham were discovered by the police feasting on stolen cattle. The police surrounded the natives, who offered a desperate resistance, but were overmatched, and twenty-three were shot and a number of others was taken into custody. Constable Collins was speared to death. A punitive expedition has been despatched to the' scene of the trouble.
