The Union Company's Calcutta trader Maori should arrive from Newcastle via Wellington early this morning, as she left the latter port for Lyttelton at 5 p.m. last night. The direct liner Tainui was busy yesterday putting the final touches to her loading, which was completed in the evening. She sails for London, via usual ports of call, first thing this morning, and is due at Plymouth on October 26th. The s.s. Wairarapa, Captain Mclntosh, completed the loading of her Lyttelton cargo yesterday, and sailed in the evening for Northern ports. She took a very large cargo from Lyttelton and a full complement of passengers. The flags in Port were lowered to halfmast yesterday as a mark of respect to the late Mr W. H*. Levin. The s.s. Wakatu sailed last night for Wellington, via Port Robinbon and Kaikoura.
