NEW ZEALAND RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —Will you allow mc to enquire ! through the columns of your valuable paper ! if at the last general meeting of the above . Association held at Trentham, a resolution ; was passed that the next rifle meeting be j held at, or as near as possible to Christ- i church, if a suitable range could be pro- j cured ? If this i 3 so (and many Christ- ' church shots who were at the said meeting 1 affirm the same) is it not time that the j Canterbury Rifle Club made a move in the j direction of selecting a site to be submitted to the officers of the Association for consideration, especially as the Oamaru people are energetically bringing forward the advantages of their range, which is no better than can be obtained at Kaituna Valley or Gebbie's Valley.—Yours, &c, Webley Martini.
