WELLINGTON v. NELSON.

NELSON, September 9.
An interprovincial football match, Wellington v Nelson, w»3 played to-day. The weather was fine with a light wind, and the ground was in good condition. There was a large attendance. Wellington won fay 11 points to 5. The first try was obtained by Kelly smartly following a kick by Banmber, and Baumber easily converted. Shortly after this Baumber potted a pretty goaL In the second spell Sigiey scored a try for Nelson from a forward rush, Harper placing an easy goaL Shortly before the close of the game Bishop, taking the ball out of the scrum, passed to McKenzie, who scored a try, but Baumber failed at the kick. The game is considered here as the roughest interprovincial match ever played in Nelson, Wellington being the offenders. Mr faeo. Simpson, referee, failed to control the players.
