The New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera-tive Association ofCanterbuby, Limited, report for the week ending Friday, September Bth, as follows:— Business in grain and produce during the week has been up to the average at this season. Wheat continues dull aud without any speculative enquiry, local manufacturers absorbing the bulk of offerings. Oats remain steady, supply and demand being fairly well balanced. Beans and peas are almost off the market. Ryegrass is well held, and stocks are rapidly diminishing. Cocksfoot is now in short supply, and parcels available command full rates. Potatoes have almost recovered the recent decline; the tone of the market is firm, and for forward delivery buyers offer an advance. Butter is in full supply. Cheese is steady at quotations. Present quotations are:— Wheat — Pearl and Tuscan, 2s 8d; Hunter's, 2s 7d, f.o.b. Oats —Milling Canadians, 2s 3d; short feed, 2s 2d ; Duns, 2s 2d; Danish, 2s Id. Ryegrass—Old-pasture, machine-dressed, 4s 3d ; ordinary, 3s '6d to 4s, f.o.b. ; farmers' parcels, 2s 3d to 3s. Cocksfoot—lslb per bushel, 4_d ; 141b, 4,d. Potatoes, 85s at country stations, sacks extra; 95s to 97s 6d f.o.b. Butter—Prime fresh, lOd; salt, 6d to 7d. Bacon and Hams—Clothed, 7&d to Bd. Cheese—<-Large, 4d to 4£d; loaf, 4_d tosd. Exports for the week are as under :-— Wheat, 9024 sacks; oats, 1065 sacks; seed, 1660 sacks; peas, 599 sacks ; beans, 533 sacks; potatoes, 2050' sacks; cheese, 12 cases ; butter, 17 kegs.
