Wakatu,. which arrived from .Wellington via Kaikoura on Tuesday evening returned again last 'night, calling at Port Robinson on the way up. A large number of persons went on board the Spanish training ship Nautilus yesterday to pay a farewell visit to the officers. A regatta on a small scale was got up among .the crew, who rowed a number of races in the inner harbour. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's cargo steamer Matatua arrived from London via Northern ports early yesterday morning, and was berthed at No. 5 wharf, where she immediately commenced to put out her Lyttelton cargo. She brings 800 tons for this port. The National -fortgage and Agency Compauy are her agents.
