IMPERIAL POLITICS.
Brass AasoolaUcn—Biaetria Taletftaph—Copyright. London, September 5. In the House of Commons Mr Gladstone's motion to devote the whole time of the autumn session to Government business was carried by the aid of the closure, but not until some important modifications were attached. Several sections of the Government supporters are much incensed at their olaims and measures being ignored. The Irish members are angry at the Bill dealing with evicted tenants being postponed until next year. The Premier said the House had arrived at satiety after a feast of contention, and he hoped it would now become practical.
