.. *?-■ OTAGO v CANTERBURY. , The annual match "between the above representative football teams has been fixed for 2.30 p.m. bn Saturday, that hour being more suitable to country visitors. The local team continues its training, and promises to go on the field iv good condition. The Otago team arrive this evening, and arrangements have been made to give them a hearty reception. A telegram from Dunedin says—"Beadle will captain the Otago football team. The general belief is that we shall suffer defeat." The local feeling is rather the reverse, as while Canter- - bury's team is as strong a one as could be well selected, it is not looked upon as possessing every. element that is needed to ensure success.
