The attendance at those sales to-day were not so large as usual, ana the entry of stock was limited.

At the' Northern Central Yards sales, by Mr W. Buss'(associated with the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company), there was an entry of 1500. sheep, 20 head of cattle ai|d a fair proportion of pigs. The prices obtained were —Fat crossbreds 16s to 17s, merino store wethers 3s 6d to 6s, twotooth crossbreds 12S to 13s, fceef equal to 21s per 100 lbs,., pigs, baconers, 36s to 40s, porkers 15s to 18s, small stores 8s to 10s. In the produce yards there was a large entry, including 500 sheepskins which sold, woolly skins 2s 6d to ss, inferior do 2s to 4s 3d, early shorn Is 3d to 2s, rough fat l£d per lb, rendered do l|d, hides at full mantel- rates; wool in bags od to 6d lb; wheat Is 8d to 2s bushel, oats Is 6d to Is 9d, ryegrass seed 2s, beans 2s 6d, meal 4s to 5s 6d, sharps ss, brau 3s 3d, potatoes 2s 6d to 3s 6d,"carrots Is 6d ; fowls, roo.tei- la 6d to 4s, hens Is 3d to 3s 3d, geese 5s 3d, turkeys 8s; flour, 17s sack, guaranteed qua.ity. Messrs H. Matson and Co. (associated with the National M. and A. Compauy of New Zealand Limited) sold a small line of two-tooth merino wethers at 4_, also crossbred ewes at 6* lid, and six pigs at 4s 9d.

Messrs Miles and Co., at the Public Yards, sold fat merino ewes at 9s, wethers lis 2d, and fat lambs 10s.

Messrs Pvne and ,Co. sold 66 cro sbred ewes 10s 7d, 178 two-tooth ciossbreds 6s 9d, 120 merino wethers 7s 6d, 17 pigs ss, 4 do 6s 6d, aud 3 steers £4 ss.

Mr A. P. Ttjtton reports sales:—Crossbred two-tooths 12s 6d, merino wethers 4s 6d, store lambs 8s 9d, fat four-tooth crossbreds 15s 6d, a mixed line of fat sheep 15s Id, rams 12s 6d, fat lambs lis 3d. Pigs— Small weaners 4s 6d to 5s 6d, do better quality 6s to 7s 6d, store pigs 10s to 16s 6d, porkers 16s 6d to 245, baconers 37s to 475, fat sows £2 12s. Cattle—Calves 16s, store cows £3 12s to £4 7s 6d. Mr Tabart sold 165 merino ewes at 3s 5d to 3s lid.

Messrs Todhunter and Jennings sold ]00 at 8s 6d ; store pigs 15s 6d to 255, bacon pigs 365.
