CABLE MESSAGES.
[press association telegram.] WELLINGTON, May 15. During last month the number of international cable messages forwarded from New Zealand was 502 as compared with 244 for April, 1892, an increase of 105.74 per cent. The number of international metsages received last month was 416 as againat 224 for the corresponding period last year, an increase of 85.71. The number of intetcolonial messages forwarded last inqnUi shows an increase of 80.74 as compared with April, 1892, the respective tptaU being 2634 and 1402. The increaeo in the numper «i intercolonial raeeaagea received wae 61.73. The returns for April, 1892 and 1893 being 1703 and 2584 respectively.
