ELLESMERE ELECTORATE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —1 see that your contemporary the Lyttelton Times, in this morning's issue, quotes from the New Zealand Times to the effect that the Hon. W. Rolleston is going to contest the Riccarton seat at the coming election. Now, it is an open secret amongst the farmers on the Peninsula, which is now included in the new EUesmere electorate, that, in response to requests from all parts of the district, the leader of the Opposition is going to stand for EUesmere. —Yours, &c, Ellesmkrb Elector-.
