OTHER MATCHES.
A match was played on tho Ashburton Domain oh Saturday between the Ashburton and WalM (Winchester) first fifteens. Waihi, in the first ten minutes' play, scored a penalty goal* Baird afterwards got a try for Ashburton, but no goal resulted, though the kick was an easy one. Lator on Cromie got a try, but again no goal was kicked. Ten minutes after tiio start of tlu second spell, Upton, after a very pretty bit of passing on the part of Ashburton, got over, but tho try was disallowed. A few minutes after this Waihi secured a try, though no goal resulted from it. Waihi kept one point ahead till towards the end, when Wilson got in with tho ball, aud Simpson afterwards converting the try into a goal the match ended in Ashburton'fl favour by 9 points to 6. Ferry road School beat Waltham School by 24 points to nothing. Southern beat Kotere by 17 points to 2 points. Kiaora Second v Northern First resulted in a draw, •aoh scoring 3 points. Kaiapoi Fourth by 28 points to 2 points. Linwood Fourth beat Pirates {Third by 4 points to 2 points.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) GREYMOUTH, May 13.
A match was played to-day between Albions (Nelson) v Greymouth. The game was fast though the ground was greasy, and there was a large attendance. Greymouth had rather the best of the game in the first spell, but Nelson came up rapidly towards the close, and the match resulted in a win for Nelson by 7 points to 5.
