(PUSS ASSOCIATION T-U-EORAit.) WESTPORT, May 9. Mr O'Regan, a candidate for the lnaa» gahua seat, delivered his maiden address Ut the electors at Cape Foulwind this evening,* -ad was well received. Ho declared hut intention of standing against all comers, and spoke in favonr of young colonials like himself entering public life. He supported the present Ministry, but would not bo led by the nose by any Minister. Ho wm in favor of a single tax, objected to the purchase of the Cheviot estate, while the land was monopolised labour could not find employment, favoured female suffrage, th» direct veto, and no compensation to pub* licans, would support State aid to denominational schools, and favoured the oc-opor*. tive system of public works. He reoeived a vote of confidence by a large majority.
