Resolutions denouncing the Home Rule Bill as an impediment to labour legislation were carried. At the Hyde Park meeting Mr Ben Tilletfc advocated great annual eight hours gatherings, and in doing so said that Australia had shown the world that the fewest hours brought the mo3t food, the best) houses and education. Brussels, May 8. The International Miners' Congress will meet here on the 22nd inst. to discuss tbe propriety of the legislative enactment of the eight hours principle. Sydney, May 9. The miners at Mt. Kembla colliery hare received fourteen days' notice that their services will be dispensed with. This is regarded as a preliminary step to the reduction of hewing races.
