SENIOR MATCHES.
Two of the three Senior matches of Saturday were played on Lancaster Park, which Was rather heavy, and the third at Kaiapoi, and at each place there was a fairly large attendance of spectators. Merivale defeated Christchurch by 16 points to 5 points, East Christchurch beat Canterbury College by 12 poiiits to nothing, and Sydenham were unsuccessful against Kaiapoi by 14 points to 5 points.
