The Duke of York formally proposed for her hand en Wednesday. It is expected that the marriage will be celebrated in the private Chapel at Buckingham Palace or in Weetrninster Abbey. The Agents-General for the colonies have unitedly sent a message to the Prince of Wales congratulating him and hie family on the engagement) of the Duke of York to Princess May. The London Corporation have sent a similar message and voted a sum of £2500 as a wedding present.
