The Australian cricketers were entertained at dinner at the Sports Club. There were about 150 present, Sir John Astley presiding. Blackham was not among the guests, a severe cold in the eyes preventing his attendance. Mr Victor Cohen, manager of the Australian team, responded to the toast of the health of the visitors, and expressed the thanks of the team for the cordial reception they had received. It is possible Blackham w.ll be able to play in the opening match of the tour on Monday, when the Australians meet Lord Sheffield's Eleven at Sheffield Park.
