Prem _moc—Ueo—_a>e_io Xaleffr-pb—Copjri«hl. London, May 4, The Queen has officially announced that she was informed of Prince George's betrothal on Tuesday evening, and gladly gave her consent. The Press heartily Welcomes the announcement.
It is expected that the marriage of the Duke of York and Princess May will take place in the autumn. May 5. The Agents-General of the various Australian Colonies -"wiH congratulate the Prince of Wales and the Duke of York upon the latter/a engagement. The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Duke and Duchess of Took are being deluged! with congratulations upon the engagement of the Duke of York and Princess May. The Navy is enthusiastic at ths betrothal.
